St. Thomas Aquinas High School Rowing Team.
The coaches were Master Rowers at Hollywood Rowing Club (HRC). In September of 2015, they met some girls St. Thomas Aquinas High School who wanted to row. They taught them on Saturdays and more and more girls joined. They wanted to race, so we began adding more practices. We went to two races our first year and now in 2024 there are 49 athletes on the team. In a very short time, St. Thomas has become a competitive well recognized team in the South East Region and nationally. They have won three State Championships, medaled at Regionals twice and place 2nd at SRAA National Championship!
NSU University School High School Rowing Team.
NSU USchool has had a rowing team since 2009. They started as a small team with mostly 1x’s and 2x’s but are in the process of becoming a competitive team in the South East Region. There are currently 45 athletes on the roster from middle school to seniors with 4 coaches. In the last two years they have won 3 state championships, had 10 boats make the grand final in the USRowing southeast championship, and sent 6 boats on to USRowing and SRAA Nationals, with the Boys Freshman 4x winning a National Championship in 2023
